Granite Rapids Moon gives through screenings

Granite Rapids Moon

A film’s route to audiences can become part of its giving. Onondaga Environmental Institute announced that a portion of box-office receipts from the September 26 screening at Manlius Cinema would support its environmental work. The family drama was filmed in the Grand Canyon with National Park Service permission and oversight, using equipment the cast and crew could carry. Here, the local screening creates a relationship between the film, its audience and an organization caring for the environment. The announced benefit still needs an outcome: how much reached OEI, and what it helped make possible.
